so what do you think the wet noodle in the white house will do on the situation in syria?

is it our problem to intervene in?

should a tyrant be allowed to get away with this?

what gives the US the right to intervene in this type situation?

I am not saying i am for or against doing anything but just wanted to see what yalls thoughts were

Sounds like a strike is imminent from what I've read and seen on the evening news. We've got four boats sitting in the Mediterranean waiting for Washington to get the paperwork in order.

Well as long as I can leave after duck season and be back before teal season next year, let's go I guess. I'm not sure if we'll see a period in the future where there is not a war to be fought.

Too me, this is kinda like watching a man beat a woman in the Walmart parking lot. It really isn't your problem but you can't sit there and let the helpless be beaten to a pulp. There may be 10 other people standing around afraid to make a move but somebody has to do the right thing and step in.

The problem usually is that once you step in, the woman stabs you in the back while you are restraining the man.

Correct me if I am wrong, but i heard somewhere that the tomahawk missiles cost around a million dollars a piece. That would be my guess as to why any other nation doesn't want to get involved. Just guessing.

Let the UN or France deal with it.

This is just way too fishy to me. We will never know the REAL truth of who used chemical weapons or if they were used at all.
The media and the NWO wants us to believe what they want us to believe so the propaganda machine is hard at work. I think
the older I get the more Libertarian I have become and I believe we should pull the majority of our troops back home and not
send them out to fight anywhere unless we are directly threatened. Syria is not a direct threat to the US in any way shape form
or fashion.......so you can read my answer from that.

Obummer will use this opportunity as more cover up for all the scandals he's caught up in at the moment (that the media has already let die)
and it may give his something to stay caught up in until his presidency is over. Syria could be stopped with half a dozen stategically placed
bombs, but before this clown finishes screwing this up, we'll have 60,000 troops over there.

We need to stay away, period.

It is a strange world we live in when reasonable US citizens only hope to keep us out of another conflict is Russia and China.

There is literally no reason for us to intervene. I hate it for the folks affected, but we don't even know who is doing what. There is actually a good chance if chemical weapons have been used, it was perpetrated by the very people we are trying to protect (rebels that oppose the government - that just so happen to have Al Qaeda ties). Moreover, the videos showing people supposedly exposed to mustard gas are likely fake. Notice those attending to the affected show no signs of stress, even though they are not protected in any way. That does not happen. They should be in hazmat suits, gloved up with breathers on.

Something very strange is going on with our government in all of this...

Tough call all around.. Most in the us and I would venture to say military are war weary. I know I am.. I was all for going into Iraq and Afghanistan. But as we can see there and now in Egypt and Libia is appears that the folks in that region don't want to even try to help themselves. Plus, we have so many problems here at home that it is hard to help anyone else when we can't work out our own problems..

Then again, we were in bad shape during the Great Depression and WWII pulled us all together and brought us out of it.. But that was a different age and a different mindset and political climate..

I am starting to lean more towards a libertarian stance also.. I don't particularity care for Obama, but I don't envy him for having to make this decision. Even if he did draw the line in the sand. I think he has realized that the Bush foreign policy that he hated so much was there for a reason, because he really has been acting like Bush on a lot of these issues.
