What type of tree skins are you putting on there and what do you figure the total will be for this project? I've been looking for a pontoon boat for years that was economically feasible and they are hard to find......

Wish I could help you with it.....

St.
Oak, cypress, cedar, and pine.
Blind will be under $1500. Don't know what the boat cost was though.

Why the mixture of wood? Especially the pine...that threw me way off....as far as color and lasting any length of time

It was the primary wood in the pile of free sawmill slabs.
The bark will fall off ant the wood will color over quite nicely.

I have come to the realization that not everything on this build is going to be square. And I am ok with that. :D
I am working on it as much as I can. Which is quite limited. I decided to take the "cab" all the way to the front. It was going to be to hard to hide a flat 4ft deck sitting out there on the end of a "clump of trees". Door on each end, dog area on the stern.

Door in back is for the option of hanging a "boat shed" off the back.

i was thinking the same thing..........maybe some spud poles. I can see 6 guys moving from the bench to the gunning window.....and everybody's barrels end-up in the water. Other than that, it looks like the makings of a comfortable home away from home.

Spud pipes for sure! I would put one on each corner.

Is that a square I see? Is it a hunting blind or a house?

There will be some semblance of that in play. It will end up being like a floating dock. I plan on getting it out to the location and finding the right spot for it. Then, driving 2 steel pipes down in the mud. Then take an old tire, and use it like a piling hoop to keep the boat there no matter the water level.

That's what I want to do. We'll see if it plays out that way.
