Re: Thoughts On 'Rebel Nation' Magazine
Haven't thought about it at all. And I am not really sure what the mag looks like.
If it is the same as the new mag being put out by 247, then I think it will be entertaining, loaded with color UM sports related pics, feature stories on UM athletes and coaches, lots of ads, and a featured UM beauty in each issue. If its not the mag I am referring to, then I am not familiar with it yet.
And apparently, few Rebs here are.

Re: Thoughts On 'Rebel Nation' Magazine
Well, after a quick google search, it appears that Rebel Nation Magazine and the 247 Sports magazine are not the same, but two separate mags. However, they both appear to have similar attributes.
Rebel Nation mag claims to be locally produced.
I will have to check out both of these publications and get back with you. I suspect that each will be heavily ad intensive and found on coffee tables in the homes, and in offices of businesses, of Reb fans.
I note that 247 has the Ole Miss coed swimsuit calendar. Not sure what Rebel Nation's counter to that will be. It's all good.

If its like this forum and filled with as many mindless, sunshine pumping rants about a third tier SEC team, I would imagine its pretty comical. Might be worth checking out.

Re: Thoughts On 'Rebel Nation' Magazine
Po Monk, a buddy of mine produces the Rebel Nation magazine. He is a writer trapped in an attorney's body right now. His name is Jake Adams and he works out of Brandon. He is also the guy that produces the Fins Up stickers you may have seen on vehicles and the like.
Jake was an editor for Outdoor Life prior to law school. He did this while his wife attended Columbia School of Law on a full ride.
The first issue of the magazine came out in July. It will be bi-monthly I believe. He LOVES Ole Miss and has put a lot of effort into this deal. He has some really good support from the AD and Freeze as well.

I saw a copy in my Bro in Laws bathroom the other day. My opinion, the pages are too slick.

This is the one with the pics of the chicks at the walk of champs and they look like busted Daytona strippers? Ole Miss didn't search very hard to find those girls.
