Dead around here
I thought it might pick up a little with SEC media days. Everyone must be at the beach getting their tan on.

This board has been dead for years...really since the Cam Newton fiasco.Warren wrote:I thought it might pick up a little with SEC media days. Everyone must be at the beach getting their tan on.

Re: Dead around here
You know it's bad when the CL finally hears about an Ole Miss football arrest from two months ago. If it were Miss State, it would've been in the paper the next morning.
Re: Dead around here
Bama wins again.
LSU, USC, & Georgia all in Top 10.
Florida step behind those while Auburn improves to 3rd in west.
T A&M fails to meet expectations.
Arkansas, UT, Ole Miss are next level.
Vandy and MSU disappoint, Mullen seat warms.
Mizzou and UK struggle badly.

There are ways to increase traffic.
However, Alabama pretty much owns everyone so I can understand why this place turning into a ghost town.

Re: Dead around here
We could talk about Saban and Billemia crying about fast moving offenses. Just a suggestion.

Re: Dead around here
We could. But the glare from all those trophies is probably causing Sabans eyes to water, so don't confuse that with crying.mossyisland wrote:We could talk about Saban and Billemia crying about fast moving offenses. Just a suggestion.

Y'all could break down Bama's fast moving smothering defense they seem to field year in and year out........

Re: Dead around here
Can't argue with the truth...I don't remember any athletic entity in my life as dominant as Bama football is at the moment. I wasn't around for the Bill Russell Celtics and the John Wooden UCLA dynasty, but I am sure this Bama ride will be ranked among those dynasties before it is all settled and done. Unfortunately, I could see Saban winning 4 or 5 more titles in the next 5 or 6 years. He has proven that you must beat him twice in a season to prevent him from winning the title...and that is not going to happen. It certainly takes the mystery out of the impending season every summer, headed into fall.webbmaster wrote:There are ways to increase traffic.

Re: Dead around here
I guess since I left yrs ago it went dead around here. Lets bring this board back.
Everyone predict this years record of your team and your rivals. I'll start.
Ole Miss 8-4
Ms State 5-7
Ps Webbie - we know your going to say Bama 12-0 and Auburn 4-8 so you don't have to waste your time and I don't have to read your post.
Pss Bama sucks.

PSSS Stitch - Ms State also sucks.
Re: Dead around here
I think state goes 7-5, possibly 8-4 and shooting the moon would be 9-3. Too much talent at QB(if plays like he can day in and day out), RB, OL, and DL. I think everyone is going to be blown away with what our LB do this year. That being said we are not strong at DB or WR. I honestly say 7-4 or 8-5 but could just as easy go 6-6 or 5-4. I think if you look at it historically you take the L from Alabama, Lsu, South Carolina (although they come to Starkville I think, and the Ball Coach has struggled at Davis Wade), and OkiState (State has not done well in the past with big time openers). Auburn is a must, Arkansas is a must, and Kentucky is a must. Egg bowl always a toss up. I think we win out the rest of nonconference and probably drop the A&M game. But possibly pick up a game here or there if playing lights out like OkieState, A&M, or LSU.
Ole Piss I think is another team in the same situation. When its all done could be 8 or 9 win team. Could also be sitting at 6-6. I think State and Ole Piss go bowling though.
State 7-5
Ole Piss 7-5

Re: Dead around here
I think LSU probably goes 8-4, maybe 7-5. They will lose to Bama, UGA, possibly UF and OM. TCU will be a test as well. They are bound to lose to State at some point having not lost to them in 14 years. Maybe this will be the year.
Since LSU doesn't really have a "rival" per se...I will say OM goes 6-6 or 7-5 and Bama goes 12-0 (14-0) and beats Ohio State in the title game like a rented mule.
