Rusty's Riverfront grill is the best place there is to eat in Vicksburg. It's on Washington St. across from the huge towboat on land... cant miss it. Roca's is also good food.

Be sure to check out the Corps Museum across the street from Rusty's. Eat at Rusty's. The Old Court House Museum on Cherry is awsome. The Military Park is very cool it is off Clay street.

While Quinn and Brown are correct in Rusty's being a good place to eat, if you plan to eat past 5 o'clock, goodluck getting a table under an hour wait. Rusty's is always very busy, especially on the weekends. Rocca is a great place to eat and you can walk in and get a table. There are some other places on Washington St. Lillian's is a new restuarant/bar that opened, it used to be Duff's, and the Barello's, and now it is Lillian's...not bad, not great. new bar opened across the street from there called 1311, i have been a few times..not a bad place usually have live music. Of course there is always the Biscuit Company on Washington as well. Have you ever toured the Military Park? If not go do that..I can hook you up wth a good guide if you want one (my grandmother gives private tours) or just go ride through on your own.

If you are coming in Friday and will be here around lunch time, stop in Bovina and eat Bovina Cafe. Fridays are Jambalaya and Beef Tips day. Jambalaya and Beef Tips are capitalized because they are that good.

The Tomato Place on 61S is a small fruit stand that has pretty good food, sandwiches and stuff.

Martin's at Midtown is a deli. I'm not crazy about deli food but they have like a dozen craft brews on tap plus quite a few bottled.

If you like a good DIVE bar go to The World in Delta, LA. First right when you cross the river headed west. Cold Beers and Good Burgers.

This is a must, The World is a one of a kind establishment. It has LOTTO painted in big red letters on the roof, can't miss it. I like to go there for lunch, but i end up never making it back to work...come to think of it, it is almost lunch....

I am frequently disappointed in most Vburg restaurants, except for Billy's Italian. The place is just always solid -- food and service. Crawfish Parmesan is amazing.

Don't know why I didn't think of Billy's, but you are right. I've never had a bad experience with food or service there.

Yea, Billy's is good. It's in such an unlikely place, too.

The Vicksburg Military and the Corps Museum are a must do. Unless you get to Rusty’s early it will be a long wait. I would go to Anchucha, it is right up the hill from Rusty’s. While you are downtown a cool store to visit is the Corner Drug Store, that is if it still has Mr. Gerache’s old guns and artifacts in it.

If you have a group it is hard to get a table at Rusty's if you show up late, but if it is just two of you all you have to do is walk in and sit at the bar...
