How's the bass fishing there this time of year?

Hot off the press brotha....
Best bet at Lake Washington right now is catfish. Try tightlining in 4-6 ft of water for channel cats. Best baits are going to be hot dogs, chicken gizzards, or worms. Hand grabbing season is over for the year.
Bream bites have started to slow up significantly but they are not impossible to catch...try using crickets in shallow water 2-3 ft. deep. Target brush tops and submerged logs especially, or try around cypress knees.
Crappie fishing has slowed, and mainly small fish are being caught. Most anglers are trolling in the north eastern part of the lake in 8-10 ft of water. Talk with locals or bait shops to find the current conditions. Try trolling or try jigging around deep piers with structure along the eastern shoreline.
Bass fish is definitely best early in the morning or late in the afternoon. They can be hard to find during the middle of these hot summer days. Try a top water lure around the shoreline, or throw a deep diving crankbait along the deeper edges of the fishing piers.

Creel Limits:
The creel limit for crappie at Lake Washington is 30 a day. There is a 10" minimum length limit for crappie, but 5 fish under 10" may be kept.
The creel limit for largemouth bass at Lake Washington is 10 a day. There is a 15" minimum length limit for bass, but 2 fish under 15" may be kept.
The limit for bream is 100 per day, and there is no limit on catfish harvest.
