Aright now to the cost of the little project...
Pine flooring... $1.10 per sq totaled $1031.05
Glue (Bostik Duragrip) $119 per 4 gallon x7= $898.80
Tool rental (Demolition hammer, floor sander with diamabrush and floor roller) $292
Random trip to home depot for concrete nails, new jig saw mineral spirits, tape, plastic etc... $140
One copay for insurance for xray $40
Total unfinished $2361.85
Another 2k for sanding and finishing comes to a grand total of $4361.85
Lowest quote to do the job was $10,500 bringing my total saving by DIY to $6138.15

Hey you forgot to include your opportunity cost in your DIY labor. LOL, just kidding, everything looks great. Id hate to have you on our comp/liability policy though. We use that Provincial stain a lot down here. Just note, anything darker will need constant cleaning ( like a dark truck). Anyway, great work!! especially the prep. I cant wait to see the finished picts. I highly recommend Bona hardwood cleaner!!.
