I worked for c-south for over 5 years in the IT dept.and built out a large portion of the retail locations from Jackson TN. to upper Florida. There are very few places in MS. you will lose a signal. I would NEVER go back to work for them but I do still have the service.

Cingular. 100%. Better all around coverage statewide, IMO.

I find the exact OPPOSITE of that statement.. I have both services, ATT and Cell South and my Cell South phone gets better coverage around here, but the ATT in 3G areas is awesome. The internet on my phone is as fast as my laptop at home when I have the 3G instead of EDGE network. In the Delta though the Cell South is covered in many more areas than the ATT phone is.

AT&T doesn't pick up very well up at my camp in Valley Park or the camp south of Vicksburg so I go with Cellular South. The only thing about cellular south is they screw you on the phones. They usually have a crappier selection than anyone else and their phones don't carry sims cards so you cant switch it out if it screws up, which they do often.

Had this dilemma this past weekend. Was a long time AT&T customer, just switched to Cellular South blackberry plan. Cellular South is definitely cheaper. I let the AT&T people know that i had shopped at Cellular and wanted to change and they dropped the price on the plan they had previously showed me, $30 bucks a month. I walked out. I was so mad that they were trying to overcharge me the first time i came in shopping for new plans. Went straight to cellular south and signed up.

Cellular South. It's cheaper by a LOT, and better coverage around here.

Cellular South isn't cheaper by a lot. I too have used both....like said earlier when it's all said and done comparing apples to apples and oranges to oranges they are almost identical in price. It really depends on what you do with your phone. I've traveled a ton over the last 5 years and use Cingular more b/c of the internet and that sort of thing. I have an iphone with unlimited internet and text messaging, my wife has unlimited internet and text messaging, and we both have nationwide plans and talk thousands of minutes a month and our bill is $132 a month. I was previously with Cellular South and am about to get a second phone just to use over at the Hunting Club b/c there's a Cell South tower right near there and can be miles out in the woods and can talk on the cell south phone.....where my cingular phone won't work. Then again, i can be at relatives' house near water valley out in the middle of nowhere and my phone works and theirs don't (they all have cellular south). So, basically, it depends on where you plan on using it, what features and phone you want. As long as you have coverage, nothing else will really matter.
