Re: 3,000 ducks already
Ask the guy's in Winchester hunting club in Tally county they did something kinda like this a couple yrs ago and gusse what NO HUNTING ON THAT LAND FOR THAT SEASON.Reason I heard all duck's and food had to be removed and they could not shoot the duck's to remove them had to catch them,I belive you have to be a preserve with a permit to do this. But anyway I vote no.

And you sir should open your eyes, this whole idea is wrong on so many levels that I am guessing by your post, your pea brain could not comprehend. This stupid $#!+ should be erased from this board, and the jackass that stands to profit from the idea should be forced to take lashings in town square. That is all, good luck using bread crumbs as decoys.

Flamboyant turd......now that's funny.

MRC, I know for a fact that David Melton would never get involved in something like this. I think at one time or another there was a place down in South MS that did the tamie shoots but I personally think it is sad that someone in the heart of "duck country" is wanting to resort to this rather than have a 100% fair chase hunt. I know you are into the retreiver training and to some folks seeing their lab get a bunch of guaranteed retrieves may be more important than hunting unpredictable wild birds....to each his own. I just hope the trend of high fence deer hunting in MS, especially those fenced areas that are less than a section in size and tamie duck shoots in the heart of the delta never catch on and become accepted as a ligitamate form of hunting because it's not. To me tamie duck hunts in the MS Delta would be akin to marketing Japanese made Mitsubishi apple pie to Americans.

Dude, I don't care who you think you know or how big an internet bad ass you think you are, I only tried editing in an attempt not to get anything started. I will be the one to just leave it alone I see where it is going and I am too tired to have an internet brawl with you. Have a nice day.

Day break, please go back and edit your post. Deltaducks, and tame ducks should not be used in the same sentence. I know for a fact deltaducks has nothing to do with this. Thanks. ............

GH22,
I'm pretty sure I know the answer but is David involved in any way with these people as far as the tamie ducks go?

No, David is not involved in any way with tamie birds. If he is referencing Delta Hunts, then it must be Delta Hunts & More that was in operation in Belzoni before it got busted.
Or it could be that the tard thought ducksouth was deltahunts and referencing the 3K ducks post in that way.

Re: 3,000 ducks already
one more dead duck. that makes 56 dead. paid for three thousand ($4.50/duck). 3068 delivered. 3012 left. that is a loss of 2.5 ducks per day. that is over a 98% survival rate to date. the ducks finally started moving again.he hopes to have them moving freely between sights in a few days. an interesting thing happened today. i parked my truck .25 miles away and walked undetected through brush to 10 yards before waters edge. 3 ducks jumped and flew as fast as they could away from me 2 feet off the water quacking and acting identical to any wild duck i have ever seen. they landed on the other side of the break with a large group of ducks (several hundred). very refreshing. ducks are still eating about 500 lbs of feed a day. these ducks do have a clipped back toe. i was not aware of that and found that out yesterday. turns out that is required by law for someone to sell ducks like the mallards that were bought (the fellow has been selling ducks for 30 years). all these ducks are mallard ducks. talked to a man today who supposedly knows what he is talking about. he is not federal or state so he certainly is not official. he said that according to a Mexican/American treaty (i am going to find the name of it and post it soon) all mallard ducks are migratory and therefore no mallard duck can be deemed tame. not to mention the fact that these ducks are spooked and haul ass when they see a human close by. even from 150 yards away, they swim away in the opposite direction and that is probably because they cannot fly. he said the only thing that you cannot do is have food present 10 days prior to hunting the mallards. he stressed absolutely no food from feedings prior 10 days before hunting. he also stressed that is the only requirement. we will see
have a good one.

Re: 3,000 ducks already
How in the hell do you count 3K a duck each day. There is no possible way you can tell if you have 2900 or 3021. Or is there? I hope I get to shoot one of those clipped toe birds. It may be the only mallard hen I would mount.

No, i don't want to know you ---- teul
