planning a red fishing trip and need help

Some friends and I are planning a red fishing trip to south ms or louisianna area. I have never been but I am helping with planning it. I was hoping some of you guys have been or know a guide or charter to recommend. we are also trying to get out of this trip as cheap as possible. we would like to stay near our launching area or on location. any help is appreciated. thanks
