Anyone on here go after catfish?

I see all you crappie, bass, specks, and reds pros on here. Anyone chase catfish? Used to go on the River a lot as a kid and camp out. We would catch the heck out of them at night. Would like to go after some. It's been a while.

Me and the little man jug and set out lines on the reservoir all the time. I love doing it. Ever want to go let me know. WE normally put in at Twin Harbor landing.

85% of my fishing is for catfish. Jugging, trot lining, limb lining, grabbling, and rod and reeling.

Love doing some cat fishing nothing like some fresh fried catfish. You can catch plenty of them on jugs in the pearl north of the rez.

Back in my highschool/college days I chased them a good bit.

By the end of it, I could cast a cast net w/ the best of them. Even got to where I could cast a spool full w/out backlashing!

I don't care to eat them (prefer crappie/bream) but there isn't anything like targeting bigger cats.

Skipjack/shad on a 7/0 hook suspended in the current for blues
Bream or big shinner w/ 7/0 on the slack water in the night for flats!

Big reels, big poles, big excitement!!!

As far as jugs, lines, yo/yo's. It's a good way to load the freezer. Fun for most, had a bad day of it back many years ago and haven't done it since.

Spent alot of time on big muddy sandbars last year. He has already started hounding me about it already this year.

We caught a bunch of nice flatheads fishing the Big River from the bank last year. It was awesome.

Well when you guys go send me a pm. Have had more good memories catfishing than any other kind. Want to get back into a little more preferably on the big river but I'm not that picky. Will just be glad to have an invite.

I've been known to catch a few... Caught catfish from Florida panhandle to the big muddy. To this day though my favorite is a shallow little river between two county's in central MS with white sand beaches and a sandy bottom.
