When is it too late for them to be used this year?

I think now.
Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)

I got about 10 out in mid-December and it appears I have some interest. We will see. I agree with teul that you may be a little late this year. It would not hurt to go ahead and put them up for next year so the ducks that use your area will get used to them. Mine stick out like sore thumbs so I figured the ducks might not like them. I have seen some pairs around so hopefully I can post up some pictures later of a clutch or two. Good luck.
