I mow a solid area for my LZ and then strips out from that.

The way man has changed the topography and hydrology of the delta over the last 50 years, I think ducks have adapted to seeing "non-naturally" occuring shapes on the landscape. That being said, I still try to avoid straight lines and circles when I manipulate natural vegetation. It could have absolutly zero effect on whether or not a duck wants to be there that particular day, but "S" shaped lanes and irrigular shaped landing zones appear more "natural" from the air.

I plant my corn crooked too. Seems like they shy away from straight rows. :lol:
