Evidently I took more pictures of the dog and other random $#!+ than I did of the beans. I've got a couple that show progress that I'll try to get posted this week.

I put 1.5 acres worth of large lads in today before the rain hit. Left a 7ft gap between 16ft planted strips for easy spraying and landing spots. I hope to get another 1-2 acres in for the deer before its too late.

They're coming on strong looks like!
I planted in a very low area and the moisture has hindered mine until now. Soil is finally drying enough so see some good growth. Grass is starting to fill in so i plan to spray mid-week and fertilize late in the week. What are y'all fertilizing with? I planned to use a cheap blend, something like 0-20-20 but haven't set that in stone yet.

Think the soil sample said 0-20(20 something)-0. Im not sure if I'm going to fertilize with the way they're looking so far

I sprayed these almost two weeks ago with Rup and dual. They are clean and growing well. The deer are already feeding in spots.

I'm waiting on a day off to go look at mine. Were those sown also?

Yeah. I had a "helper" operating the 4wheeler. He didn't get the even spreading theory. He was half way through the plot and gave me the hands up signal. There are some thick spots and some thin spots.

I'd like a no-till drill one day. Until then it'll be spread. I am pleased with the results, so far.

The beans in our east field became expensive deer poop while I was on vacation. The fence was hot when I left and cold when i returned. I planted the leftover seed close to camp and have kept fresh sweaty tshirts around the field since they emerged. It has worked so far but not getting my hopes up yet.

I kept seedling sunflowers protected from huge deer herds during the 2011 flood with hair. It was nasty and I suited up like an EPA superfund site to apply it. I asked the woman who cuts my hair to save the clippings for a day or two. The deer avoided that field like the plague.

If it helped keep sunflowers alive during the flood then i'm buying what you're selling! The plot is only 1+/- acre so ill be calling the barber shop tomorrow.

Went and checked them out today. Not what I was expecting to find. They're not that lush green and one of my best fields turned into my worst, weed wise. Will be applying ru again next weekend and fertilize it. It seems to be stunted right now. Deer are starting to nibble on the leaves some.
