Aquatic weeds
Does anyone know of a herbicide for lilly pads in a small pond. Someone told me Navigate?? it comes in two forms, granular and liquid. Also, would anything else do the trick. Same person told me I need to kill the roots and not just the top of the plant. Thanks.
work hard, play hard
Re: Aquatic weeds
If it's American Lotus then a liquid 2,4-D (active ingredient in Navigate) will work great.

If it's watershield or white water lilly then 2,4-D will still work as long as you can get sufficient product contact time on the plant which is a little more difficult since the leaves are floating on top of the water and the chemical washes off pretty quick if you have any water/wave action. Although the granular 2,4-D is more expensive than liquid it may be better for you if these are the plants you have. There are other options but they are dependent on pond characteristics and available application methods.
