Vine

Postby Wildfowler » Mon Jul 01, 2013 12:32 pm

I don't know exactly what this is called but it's a vine, it's rather invasive and always thought it would be great to plant some of this at the base of your blind and let it grow all over the structure.

From the looks of things it's about to be in full bloom in my area, and some seeds for transplanting should be available for harvest before too much longer.

Keep your eyes peeled if you ever wanted to do this too.

Redvine. That's the "pesitlence" the Bible talks about after Adam was banished from the Garden.

The guys at Jimmy Sanders told me it can be hard to kill. Sounds like a great natural cover for a permanent duck blind.

Thanks guys

I think the roots go down to the molten magma layer.

It can be killed but must be sprayed in fall. Or subsoilers ran in the summer to pull roots up and let sun bake them.

Thankfully my pigweed is still not roundup ready. But my ryegrass is!

It's all over some of our blinds. Excellent coverage. Good deer browse too.

Banvil and 24D will hammer the redvine. For a while at least. It gets pretty thin in the winter, quick
