South Tx?
Anybody hunted these turkeys down south of San Antonio? I am going on a hunt this coming spring out here, and was wondering how many of yall have had this experience?

Yep. We leased a ranch south of San Antonio one year that hadn't been spring turkey hunted in 30 years. It was lousy with turkeys. I've hunted rios in Texas, Kansas, and Oklahoma. I'll offer what advice I can. They're more vocal than our easterns, they travel farther and will respond to a call a long ways off, and fences don't bother them. Good luck and stack em up. Texas allows 4 rios and you can kill them all in one day!
