Seen two fawns in last two days.
First one, Sunday, was lying REALLY close to where we were cleaning up a potential food plot. I threw a rotten log out of the way of the tractor, into the brush, and WHOOSH.. Lil deer ran right past me, within two feet.
Monday saw a newborn laying on a turn row between a rice field and woods. Figured its momma crosed a big ditch and made it into the woods but the fawn was too small to follow. drove to within 20 feet of it. It just laid there...then stood on wobbily legs and looked at me. I backed away and watcehed with binocs to see the momma doe come out.
Pretty neat.
