It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

I shot an eleven point 2 years ago but he also was a scrub rack. You know it is funny. I have been huntting all my life, but deer huntting has lost it flair. I've killed many a deer and have passed on larger deer than I have ever killed. Like dutch I am a meat hunter and the horns just don't thrill me much. It does not mean I always pass on deer, but I have to be in the mood. I go many times just to watch and don't even shoot. I have left many big ones for you guys. I just can't get a thrill out of it anymore for some reason. It is like it is not a challenge. The fun part for me has become finding the big one just to see if I was right.

Maybe some of you guys can tell me something that will make it more intresting. Now ducks on the other hand I will mount and hunt all day. I would even rather eat ducks. I have never cared for deer mounts but would like to mount as many different ducks species as possible.

Yall tell some stories of some good hunts as I do enjoy those and I hope yall all get the big one this year.

Killed a 130 inch 9 point last year with my Encore, and missed an 8 about the same size at widowmakers with my bow last year.

Here is a pic of the 9 point:

I killed this 10 point 2 years ago and it scored 143. I also killed a 10 point about 4 years ago that was in the 130 class.
