Illinois Trip

Postby SNEAKER » Mon Nov 17, 2014 11:23 am

Had a successful trip this year to west central Ill. The weather was not very good. We did see a bunch of good bucks the few good mornings we had. I missed a real big 9 point the first morning. He was out of range and I called him in. Had to rush the shot (he was circling downwind) and he was farther than I thought. All the deer were cutting the corner off of a field and staying too far. There was about a 25' tall oak tree out in field. So, I hung a lock on in it and killed this one at 13 yards.

Here is the setup:

Here is some of my footage from the trip, including the 9 point I missed (2nd buck). Footage is not very good, but I don't have a cameraman.

Love that deer you killed, lots of character. Private land?
