Prime Bows - Reviews

Postby Deltamud77 » Thu Jul 31, 2014 12:53 pm

Anyone have any experience with Prime Bows? I am looking for a new bow set-up and don't necessarily want to go the Matthews/Hoyt route - probably because so many others have gone this route. I am not opposed to it, just looking around I suppose.

Does anyone shoot a Prime, and if so, what are your thoughts? Thanks

I know you are looking for a new bow, but I've got a PSE DNA I'm trying to get ride of. The string is barely broke in. I bought it new in January and hunted 8 times with it. Let me know if you are interested.

Elite Archery makes an incredibly smooth shooting bow. Just picked up the Energy 32 after shooting Hoyts, Prime, and Mathews. It is my second Elite to own.

Why you selling the PSE and what are you replacing it with?

I didn't shoot a prime but tried everything else I could get my hands on. I wound up with a Bear Agenda 6. It's a dang fine bow. There are several Prime shooters on Archery Talk so you may want to look there.

They all make good bows these days .. it just depends on what you shoot the best and feels good to you.

I shot them all last year,

I ended up with a bowtech Experience. 500 grain arrow 303 FPS

Bowtech's Binary Cam system is the most tunable system on the market. I'm able to shoot dead out of center and it throws darts - and I shoot 1 7/8" cut Fixed blades.

If you take your bow to the bow shop to get it tuned - just buy what ever feels good to you. I take tuning to another level on my bows.

I really like the elite bows - but they are much slower - which is why they are so smooth. But they are super smooth and quite - if I didn't hunt elk - I would own an elite.
