Question about a scope......

Postby quackerkiller » Wed Nov 27, 2013 10:20 am

I bought my wife a 270 wsm the other day and am looking for a scope to go on it.....the gun has hardly any recoil but I still would like to get a scope that has some good eye relief.... any suggestions on what kind of scope I should get her? I prefer a 50mm with at least 10x zoom..... thanks in advance!

look at the Zeiss Terra rifle scopes. I think the biggest they make in this version is a 4-12 x 42mm. Im seriously considering getting one as I have found them on sale for $379.

Hard to beat a Nikon Prostaff for the money

Nikon Prostaff 3-9x50 is just about what you're looking for. If you HAVE to have more than that power, I think you're gonna have to get the 4-12x40. They do make a 4-12x50 but I think it's in the Monarch line and is upwards of $500 vs $220-ish for the Prostaff.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

I've heard a lot of people pushin for the Nikon instead of a leupold...... I've heard the zoom puts out a bigger picture on the Nikon..... I'll prolly end up with a nikon

I vote for Vortex. Also has lifetime warranty. Think the diamondbacks were on sale at cabelas.com
