Full Moon

Postby MSDawg870 » Fri Nov 15, 2013 10:12 am

Gonna be a straight up full moon tomorrow. What'll be the best time to hunt dawn, dusk, midday, or midnight? :D

Good Luck fellow Doe Slayers.

On nights with full moon, I usually don't see deer start to move to close till after 10 AM..

Saturday evenin I got in the woods not really expecting much action. My Dad was hunting a plot and I figured he'd be the one to see sometin. The wind was rollin through the woods right in my face with an occasional period of misting rain. I had picked my gun up and was pointing it in different directions to see what kinda shooting lanes I had outta this somewhat new stand location. When I sat my gun back down. I see this plump little darlin trotting right at me. She pulled up at bout 30yds looked behind her and started to eat acorns. She took two steps to my left giving me an easier shot. The .444 laid her out, dead right there.
