Before I went to bed friday night I prayed that god would make this hunt a memorable experience for us. If that meant killing a buck, then great, but if it meant just having some great father/daughter time enjoying the weekend together, just me and her, then that's great too. We got to the stand at daylight, saw a few deer, then at 6:50, here he came! He was walking across the food plot, she couldn't find him in her scope so I slid the gun down the rail to line it up w the deer. She found it! but the deer was about to walk out of the plot, and out of sight. I swear to yall one more step and he was gone, but he stopped, and walked STRAIGHT to us!! I couldn't believe it! He finally stopped and turned broadside at 125yds. She tapped the trigger on her 7mm-08 and he dropped like a hammer!! It was meant to be, man I was on cloud nine! She was so proud of herself and so was I. This will never get old.....
