Buck Shanks #2

Postby DUCKAHOLIC » Mon Oct 14, 2013 7:07 am

Well boy wonder strikes again. This Saturday was to be Bucks first hunt in a lock on. We got him suited up in his safety belt and he was pumped....that is until we got him in the stand. He looked down at me pretty upset and said dad I can not do this it just doesn't feel right. We climbed down and he told me he didn't want me to be disappointed. I explained there was nothing wrong with what he wanted to do, and he made the right decision that was best for him.....We rushed back to camp grabbed a blind and a chair and went right back and put the blind right under the lockon....I got the call at 6 from him that "Shank'n Tyme" had occurred. 30 yard shot right in the wheel house.

Sorry for my brag post on this kid, but he has done waaaaay more than his dad had ever done at his age. He is so eat up with the outdoors and everything that goes with it.....I am one proud papa.

And smart, too, not to push an uncomfortable situation just to "make dad happy". Good for Buck.
