Just like fishing, wind out of the East after a front usually signifies sure high pressure days. BUT...you cant kill them at the house.

" Wind from the East good for man nor beast." Has always rang pretty true in my experience.

My Dad/s always said that bout fishing, but there's been times when we've caught the schit out of em on E wind days.

I've never heard it used talking about deer. Deer gotta eat. I figure its just a matter of what time of the day/night they choose to do so.

I live by deltaduckman's words, can't kill/catch em at the house.

Well it seems we have a butt load of East wind here in MS. I just try to focus on stands that are compatible with East wind and seem to do just fine.

a true E wind is right up there with a full moon. If I gotta take call it will be on a full moon weekend. First think I look for when I make the call schedule out in December. Also when the cows are lying down so will the deer. I love the old wives tails of the woods.
