Rodeo is the aquatic version of Roundup. Its labeled for use in water. Its Glyphosate, same active ingredient in Round Up. Not sure if its 4 pound material or not.

Will 2,4-D kill duckweed? I think I recall seeing that duckweed is listed as a target plant on the lable of 2,4-D products.

Duckweed requires either Reward or Sonar. 2,4-D or gylphosate (Roundup) are both systemics and will not touch duckweed. Reward is dirt cheap compared to Sonar.

Roundup is a systemic. It will not kill duckweed. Systemics have to stay in conatct with the plant for several hours and then travel to the root system. Duckweed floats in water and it has virtually no root system. Reward or Sonar.

You go get you some Karmex....it is a powder and mix it in water put it in a spray rig and spray the duck weed it will kill it in less than a week....................I had the worst case of duckweed you have ever seen in a farm pond..............hit it with karmex and have been duckweed free for 3 years. You will then need to put some aquashade back into the water cause it will be so clear you can see all the way to the bottom.............................
