on the next..

Postby v-do » Tue Jul 21, 2015 8:01 am

Well i had a 6 hour drive last week and i mastered the bouncing hen i believe. On to the cajun squel now. I know this is probably the hardest call to do and will probably be more challenging. Any tips or advice from anyone before i start learning it?

What calls have yall mastered?

Here's what works for me. On the end of a regular quack, I cut the note off with T. Some folks cut the note off with a K. On a cajun squeal, replace that cutoff note with the tongue placement to make the EEeee sound. The middle of your tongue moves up toward the roof of your mouth. One quick motion.

Good luck! Keep practicing.
Never assume.
