Outdoor Observations, by Mabry Anderson. He wrote an outdoor column for the Delta Farm Press way back in the day and the book is a collection of those columns. Mr. Anderson was from Clarksdale and a member of Burkes. There are some cool 1940's and 1950's photos of Delta hunts for ducks, deer and turkeys, as well as fishing. I'm sure this book was a limited run and has long been out of print, but if you can locate a copy, I highly recommend it.

As a side note, I just scored a limited edition Premier Press run of Nash Buckingham's "Ole Miss", in like new condition for under $50 on the evilbay. I'm not a book collector per se but this is a neat edition, #586 of 3000 printed.

Somebody mentioned the book, the jakes. Probably one of the best books I've ever read! Reminded me of my childhood.

If you want a copy of "Nash Buckingham, Beaver Dam and Other Hunting Tales" by Dr. Andrews, I have a couple extra copies and would sell one or two of them. PM me is interested.

I know it doesn't have near the literary value of say a Buckingham book, but "First Shooting Light" is a cool piece to have on the coffee table. More of a picturebook, but it does do a decent study of some of the historic clubs of MS and AR.
