Shane Roten duck call

Postby TK » Tue Jan 14, 2014 9:24 am

I have a good friend that dad gave him a Shane Roten call about fifteen years ago. He has had several "good callers" try to tune it but no one seems to be able to. His dad passed during a knee replacement surgery just before Christmas and he is really wanting to get the call tuned so he can hunt with it again for sentimental reasons. Anyone know someone that might could tune this call? Any help would be appreciated.

From Facebook
318.377.8169 and ask for Shane Roten. His headquarters are in Minden, Louisiana
Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)
I chose to stand my ground, not out of pure guts and bravery, but more out of massive quantities of liquid courage combined with a complete lack of physical conditioning

Roten is allegedly making calls again. Although he is harder to get ahold of than someone in the witness protection plan.

i had the pleasure of meeting him at a festival one time. he thought rather highly of himself and his call making ability...
Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.

I would run that call thru a serious cleaning if you get him to tune it. I knew the guy back then and he was truly Roten.

Seems we all have the same opinion of him. Mr. Percy said it best, "That boy's an $&@ hole, but he makes a nice duck call."

If you have trouble tracking him down, PM me. I might could help. I grew up in Minden a couple years behind Shane. I don't know him personally but I know people who could lay hands on him. -J
