an example of the arrogance of LSU fans in this situation...

this is verbatim word for word copy and pasted from a former prominent player and current prominent booster alum at LSU last night....

"Meeting with a group of Alumni to discuss Employee Changes Proposal to be submitted to Joe Alleva. Initial request will be keep Les Miles (best interest of the Players). Dismiss Offensive and Defensive Coordinators. Keep remainder of Staff (great recruiters). Hire Jimbo Fisher (Associate Head Coach). When Les contract expires, Jimbo takes over."

REALLY???? Jimbo Fisher is gonna take that deal from his current 5 million at Florida State (a job very much on same type level as LSU)? Les Miles is gonna just be undermined so you don't have to pay the buyout to him or his assistants while you fire his coordinators? The stupid in this proposal is so delusional I can't even think straight after reading it...and it came from someone with actually standing, not just a drunk tailgater that doesn't know college athletics anymore than he does neuro-science....

This LSU thing is about to be the biggest $#!+ show this side of California...if I was Les Miles, I'd be praying the fired me so I could get my 15 million and roll out...if not for the buyout and his staff he is loyal to, I'd drop the mic on this fools.

Les Miles isn't going anywhere this year. He will get fired after next year when the buyout is much lower. It would cost LSU $30 million to fire Miles and hire Jimbo. That is not going to happen.

The only hire I could see LSU making, if he became available would be Chip Kelly because there would be no buyout (which is upfront money). The buyout for Miles can be paid over 8 years.

So, if LSU does get rid of Miles, look for them to hire someone without a buyout.

Pretty much agree with everything Cam is saying. The entire educated college football world is LMAOing at LSU right now. I almost feel bad for Alleva, having to try and keep these nutjobs happy -- except for Deltamud, he's cool!

I am not a Miles supporter in any stretch and think we are declining. But the man deserves more respect and dignity than he is receiving. I think he deserves at least one more year to turn things around.

Rumor is that Alleva leaked the story about Miles coaching for his job prior to the Ole Miss game. Not sure what purpose that served, other than to create the mass chaos that has ensued. It definitely will affect recruiting.

I agree, LSU administration did not handle this well at all. And they better hope they hit a home run with the new hire. I can only imagine the absolute nuclear disaster if LSU fires Miles and ends up with a coordinator or coach from a directional university. What sitting head coach would want to walk into this dumpster fire right now?

I was basing Miles to MSU based on the turf management program at Ms State.
