Delusional Rebels 41 Reality Dogs 24

Postby Po Monkey Lounger » Mon Nov 26, 2012 5:09 pm

You knew this was coming, didn't you?

After 3 straight losses to MSU, Mullen's constant smack talk, his sheep following his example, the anti-UM billboards, the juvenile public putdowns ("TSUN", "bears", etc), the public PR campaign of "This is OUR STATE", and even as recent as pre-game warmups before kickoff of the 2012 Egg Bowl, the MSU players sporting undershirts that read "This is OUR Trophy", with a pic of the golden egg in the backdrop, this Rebel win Saturday could not have been sweeter for Rebel fans, including this one. The post-game celebration, complete with showing on the jumbotron Mullen's now infamous statement that MSU would NEVER lose to the Rebels again, was just icing on the cake. Wish I had been there to witness this skull dragging of Cousin Eddie's invincible warriors, but had to watch from the safe confines of my hunting camp (priorities).

Anyone still think that the Rebels here were "delusional" for believing this Rebel team could win 6 games and go bowling? Silly rabbits, tricks are for kids.

Smoke 'em if ya got em Rebs. The MSU public booty showing party is over for a least a year. Their only hope in getting another victory in men's sports over TSUN will be in the late spring -- until then, we'll have about 4 months of peace and tranquility.

Time to enjoy the real hunting season, since crow season is now officially closed.

It's been a long three years for us. Glad we got that behind us and hopefully we can turn the corner.

ITs actually only been 2 bad seasons --- 2010 and 2011, but it does seem like it has been 3 years --- a lengthy time of pain and misery --- primarily because the Dogs unexpectedly won the Egg Bowl in 2009. Despite the following Cotton Bowl win over OSU, the bad taste remained....and lingered....and worsened with every loss.....

And now, we have a charismatic baptist preacher leading us, who has baptized us in the water of hope, sanctified us of our doubts, helped us slay the Philistines, and is leading us out of the wilderness to the promised land of milk and honey. Say Halleluyah brothers and sisters. Good Gaaaaawd Almighty!! Can I get an AMEN? Or at least a stout drink and a cigar?

Hey Pomonk. Since you watched it on tv, did you see Freeze and the assistant holding up 4 fingers (imitating Scott Stricklin)? Did you see Freeze doing the train motion with his hand taunting the MSU players? Do you think that was appropriate considering how you have criticized Mullen for his behavior?

Freezes says the rebel nation does not do anything out of hate. Obviously taking a shot at Mullen. Do you think there was any hate directed toward the MSU players, coaches, trainers and cheerleaders Sat night?

I for one don't like Mullen's trash talk and all that stuff but the truth is there is not a dimes worth of difference between Mullen and Freeze. Freeze just hides behind the baptist minister act while playing kids he knows was bought. Not the Christian thing to do.

How is playing Mullen's comments on the jumbo tron any different than what Mullen has done? Freeze went along with it.

Ole Miss won because their players wanted it more. Plain and simple.

Didn't notice the 4 finger slight of Strickland. Did it happen in the 4th quarter perhaps? Exactly how does Strickland do the 4 finger thingy? 4 fingers up, down, sideways? I'm not familiar with the "train motion". Is it similar to the locomotion or love train? But if the MSU players do it, it must be classy.

And please explain how showing Mullen on the jumbotron speaking his own ridiculous words was a lack of class on our part? We didn't have to say anything --- Mullen said it all. if you were embarrassed , you should be. It is hard for me to fathom a bigger tool than Mullen. Moreover, what does Freeze have to do with the operation of the jumbotron? I think he was a little busy to be micromanaging the jumbotron.

Finally, if you have evidence that Ole Miss has "bought " players, then I suggest that you report it to the NCAA and/or SEC, and refrain from bringing that whiny caca here.

Wanting it more usually goes out the window after the first hit. The rest of the game is all about execution.

When freeze did the train deal do you not think it was something they picked up on film the previous week when they played Arkansas. Is it not possible when they were calling their defense they had a play called for that. Nooo. It's all original from MSU. Kind of like a tell in poker. You know the o line comes out and does it so maybe the coaches picked up on something.

Come on quit grasping for straws

They do not stay all jacked up for the whole game. Get hit in the mouth a few times and then it's just football.

If you have watched many of the Ole Miss games then you would have to say they wanted every game they played this year more for all 60 minutes. Those guys played with pretty much the same intensity all year.

That win obviously means more to the University of Mississippi fans.....it really is not an important game to the Bulldogs, Kentucky is our actual rival not Mississippi :-)

Hey Rebel Bears, you guys have a lot of moral victories this year.....add those up.....are you guys gonna hang another National Championship banner for this season that only the people in Oxford recognize (like your others)?

Which one of the above 4 finger gestures does Strickland do?
