BTW, Bullreds, good MSU thug trivia answers. The answer to (c) is a current key player on the MSU roster ----HINT: the "hyenas" offense was committed after he signed with MSU, but before his first fall semester ---pretty much brushed under the rug and downgraded to a disturbing the peace charge or something like that.
And I suppose that a classic example of this cosmos effect I referenced above, was Coach Croom bragging to the media that MSU had not had any players arrested, etc. for some period of time since he came on board, then thereafter, within the next week, several MSU football players were involved in a bar fighting incident at the infamous Hunt Club. Classic.
Another involved my own thinking(and perhaps the thinking of other Reb fans). I had once deluded myself into thinking that Coach Cut was a great judge of character in young men and only recruited kids of great character ----then within a period of about 1 1/2 years, I learned of Joe Gunn's numerous brushes with the law(not just the one or two that had previously been disclosed), our fullback beat the hell out of law student outside of a bar in Oxford, and one of our running backs and a starting linebacker were arrested in Memphis while brandishing a pistol on Beale Street, with one of the two yutes( ) aiming it at an undercover policeman. Those were sobering moments of clarity, when I finally realized that no coach, I don't care how strict, will ever be able to prevent 85 kids from getting into any type of trouble at all while at college playing football ----they have have way too much time away from practice and the coach during the school year and summers for such an expectation to be realistic.
So, it amuses me now to see fans poking at other fans of rival schools over these type matters. It is just a matter of time before what goes around comes around. As Clint Eastwood said in "The Forgiven" : "We've all got it coming, boy."
