Dog stand?

Postby ducksak » Tue Nov 25, 2014 12:36 pm

What is the best commercial dog stand in yall's view? Banded? Avery? Drake? I have one I built but it is just to heavy to carry around alot. They are expensive but I think I will get enough use out of one to make it worth it. Thanks

Momarsh Invisilab is hands down the best dog blind/platform in my opinion. Also the sport stand is very large and stable.

I have not tried the MoMarsh (but I have their boat!). My dogs hunt off a stand about 50 days a year. I have tried most of the other stuff on the market. I have also tried a couple prototypes that did not make it to the market. The Sportstand is by FAR the best I have tried out of the lot that is out there. Get the "tall."

+1 on the tall Sportstand. It's stable and it lasts.
Never assume.

Will the sport stand hold up to a saltwater environment ? I noticed the Avery legs were made from aluminum and could be more beneficial for me hunting in a salty marsh. I don't see where it says what the sport stand is made of. I am also in the market for a dog stand. Avery is on backorder right now. Thanks.

Avery makes a ton of good dog products. With that said, their stand is not one of them! not sturdy, your dog will slip and slide on platform, they get sharp edges on the pins and snag, etc. They don't last either....

A decent economical alternative is the Banded slough stand. I bought one this year for the new dog... but my hunting buddy has had one for a couple of seasons and it works about like you'd expect. Fairly easy to tote, as well.
