Jason, I've never shot one or held one for that matter, but have heard nothing but good things about the XD.

The Glock's grip angle is wrong for me.
Per the owners suggestion -- While in the gun store, went into a dark room, pointed the Glock and then turned on the light.
Was aiming at the ceiling.
Because of the angle of the grip, it was more difficult for me to shoot also.
Grip angle on the XD was more natural for me.
Both very reliable guns

Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.
