Love mine. Have the 4" service model. Ambidextrous features were a must for me as a lefty, chamber loaded and cocked indicators are nice, too, esp in the dark. Nebo makes a nice light for the rail for $50-60.

I am normally not a very good shot with a pistol but I shoot my XD 40 very well. Have absolutley nothing bad to say about it.

I've own a 4" .40 since they were first introduced. I'm a big fan. It's the one handgun I can honestly say has never had a failure of any kind.

Awesome pistol! Ive had mine for 6 or 7 yrs and has always functioned flawlessly. Ive even done my own torture test on it and its never failed to fire. Its also pretty dang accurate to boot. Cant go wrong with this gun.

I've had mine for about four years and love it. Shoots well and fits my hand better than a Glock.

I'll be the odd man out...I prefer Glocks. I have shot a few XD's and they were nice, but I shoot a Glock much better!
