Youth Wader

Postby cootkiller » Sat Dec 10, 2011 6:38 pm

I am wanting to get my son a set of waders and was just wondering how many sizes bigger to go. I dont want to get them and have to buy new ones next year. Also what brands do you guys recommend?

My 8yo daughter is about four and a half feet tall weighs maybe fifty pounds. She normally wears a size two shoe. She is hunting in a pair of size five lacrosse neoprenes. I thought the boots would be an issue but she gets around in the rice fields, no problem.

At least 2 sizes too big maybe 3. You'll at least get 2 yrs out of them. Just put on double socks

My son is 9 now. Last year at Christmas, my dad bought him a size 5 which was too big at the time. Unfortunately he never did even get to use them. Now they are too small. I dont know how his foot grew that much in 11 months.

we go 2-3 sizes bigger...thick socks/multi pairs help close the gap. I know if they are too big its ok cause the places I take him, he will not have to walk hardly at all just sit in the blind
