Unless his price has went up, he charges $175 for the brake.... Which is well worth it!

Porting the barrel should help, alot...I hate butt pads due to increase of length of pull. I would shoot my 444 all day with bare butt stock if I could afford it...go figure. A 3.5" BB outta the Nova is the hardest kickin cannon I got

The 35 Whelen makes the Benelli feel like a pellet gun.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Really? Shooting 225 gr Nosler ammo and it ain't that bad out of my Handi rifle. Hornady either. I'd rather shoot my 35 Whelen than pattern turkey loads or sight in a 45/70 or 300 Win Mag any day. I actually enjoy shooting mine...

It MIGHT have something to do with the fact that I've been shooting a .243, 7mm-08, and a .308 (it's a BAR) for the last several years. All I do know is that it's not much fun to sight in. Once I get that sumbuck sighted in, I'm done with it until I pull the trigger on a deer.

Cwink---Single shots are nice.. The beauty of them is that you can get a 22" or 24" barrel on the gun and because you don't have to deal with the extra length of a reciever the guns are still really short and easy to handle.. I love my TC 358 Win and tote it to the woods with me. Its the big brother of the 308 and is really a mild recoil when I load it with 180grain bullets..

358 Win is a 30-30 necked up to .358. Not even close to the punch of a .308. Execellent choice for deer hunting though. Same with the .35 Remington. However you can no longer get the barrels from T/C chambered in these calibers. They closed their custom shop.
