4500 doves in 1 day

Anyone catch the Wingshooting show on the Sportsman channel yesterday? The showed a group dove hunting in Cordoba with Tom Knapp. One day a hunter out of the group set a goal to break the record for kills, 4401 in one day. He shot 4500. That's insane.

I dont even wanna try to do something like that!!! Can you imagine how bad his shoulder must feel the next day.

That's awesome. How long sis it take him to shoot all of them? How many shells did he end up shooting total, did they say?

Don't know the shell count. He stayed out there all day. In the beginning they said he was averaging 1000 every hr and a half. Knapp said in the middle of the day when the birds slow down its still unlike any shoot you've been on in the US.

That is probably the lodge record. The place we went to (Sierra Brava) had a guy shoot a good bit more than that. I wont say the number because I cannot remember exact figure but he was a dentist from Texas. Maybe Ramsey or Pat know the figure. I'll see if I can find it on their website.

Lodge record was the impression I got. 14k? that's crazy. I laughed when they'd showed the counter and the guy runnin it had electrical tape around his thumb.

Here is your answer to the recoil problems. I just got back from Cordoba, shot 5,000 rounds and couldn't tell I pulled the trigger once. Its worth three times its wait in gold if you decide to ever make the trip.
