Here's the video. No wonder it attacked. People were chasing it with sticks that were on fire.

Wear shoes when you go to fight a cat. They have dang helmets but no shoes.

Another reason I am glad I decided to pass on an offer to go leopard hunting one night back in '96 while in Belize...

I was down in southern Belize for a week doing construction on a mission trip at a camp back in the jungle. Some of us were doing construction and some others were doing a pastor's conference. The last evening we had free and one of the pastors told me in broken English that a leopard had been stalking his family's hut at night before he came to the conference. He was headed home that last afternoon and planned to hunt it down that evening. He lived several miles away (and got to the conference by walking) but our host said he could pick me up the next morning on the way to the air strip if I wanted to go with the pastor for a hunt. Single, 26 years old, and thinking I was still 10' tall and bulletproof, I decided to go on a hunt with my host armed with a 12 gauge shotgun (and only 3 shells left) and myself armed with a machete (yeah, I know, bone-headed  ). I was ready to go until we started to talk about the "hazards" of the evening. The leopard really didn't bother me that much for some odd reason but the bushmaster did. The pastors told me about how the bushmaster hunts at night, can get about 10' long, likes to hang out in the vines around head height, and then strike his victims in the neck (very aggressive snake). No anti-venom and a painful death in about 30 minutes convinced me to not join the hunt. So glad I did not go...
