Postby bustercat64 » Mon Jun 06, 2011 12:12 pm

I need to replace all the guts to my grill how hard is it to do and do the universal parts work. It is a char-broil commerical series, I really dont need to be buying a new one.

Replaced mine last summer. Pretty straight forward. Worth not buying a new grill for sure.

If your talkin about the burners, the commercial grill is supposed to have lifetime warranty on the burners. I've got a 5 burner char broil commercial and I've had to call em up twice in 10 yrs. to get warranty parts. First time, I had to replace the whole damn firebox cause the brackets rusted completely out. This was an all day job to change the firebox. Second time, just the burners rusted out so I was able to just unscrew and replace.

i'd get the parts from charbroil...i've substituted universal burners and they didn't last any time, and i rigged it to fit....go ahead and save yourself the headache and get the parts from the charbroil factory/parts dept. you should be able to find the parts on their web site from a parts listing.

I thought about this thread last night as I had a fire within my grill from my wife cooking. Today I've searched parts that I want to replace to fix it. It's not a total loss, but there are a couple parts I'd like to change.

Cost of parts without shipping $222.84. Cost of a brand new grill from Lowe's 100% identical: $299 plus 7.25% tax.

This is replaceing the (4) burners, the valve manifold, carry over tubes and the burner covers.
