Re: Best Eating Places on Gulfcoast?
Can somebody tell me a bit about Taranto's? Can't find a menu - all I can find is something about crawfish.
If anybody didn't know, Vrazele's is now closed in Gulfport. Read an article where the owner said he was about to close before Katrina but he wasn't going to go out like that and he didn't want to take away a food place from the coast during the immediate recovery.
Where are some good places between GP and OS/D'Iberville that have grilled/broiled seafood?

Thanks, I hadn't seen that. Did they move or do they have more than one location? Info I saw put them in Biloxi (w/ different address and phone number).

Went to Trapani's Eatery in Bay St. Louis in early June. Had not been there since Katrina did her magic. I like the remodel although some of the old charm was lost. Food was as good as before and still a fave!

Ole Biloxi Fillin Station is worth the time. It's a converted gas station that's about 3 blocks north of the stoplight by the Hard Rock parking Garage (where you south to the rebuilt McElroy's and the Shrimp boat docks). Inexpensive, great seafood within an awesome environment. Plenty of sports on the TV and all of it is open to the outside (lots of fans running). Great char grilled oysters and perhaps the best breading on a fried oyster we've ever had. If you're at the Beau or the Hard Rock, check out the Half Shell for sure but check this place out definitely.
