Everyone knows tallahatchie hunting is the best because of the sandy grit that runs off the hills. Well proven fact that was established here by the head beaver

Why are there two watercontrol structures on the sunflower/yahoo?
Also if Steele bayou is closed, where is the water coming from that is filling Eagle Lake through Muddy? Rain water run off coming down Steel bayou and the Sunflower? It sure isn't the rising river that is forcing water it Eagle lake.
Good stuff. I knew a big part of that but a lot I did not know. The same way you can spit in Moon lake and it end up in the yazoo is the same way you can tag a spoonbill in Moon lake and it get caught in St Louis :D

That's good info for sure. Also, in 2011 Moon Lake was burning the candle at both ends when all that water was backing up from birdie and up through the pass, and all the seep water from tunica county was coming down Phillips bayou and coming in the other end. The amount of seepage under the levee in 2011 was amazing to me.

Damn Corps of Engineers. Flood control is what they call it but back flooding is almost as bad. Let's undo nature. Think the Kissimmee River "straightening" project that we(tax payers) spent untold millions to put the "curves" back in down Florida way. Can not please everyone and people choose to live in low lying areas. Remember what was said after Katrina about 'Nawlins?
