I have the FoodSaver Gamesaver Silver G500. It's been a good one for 2 years. Have never had to let it cool down a bs it pulls the air out good. Will still seel good even with a good bit of moisture. I'd recommend it.

Just saw this thread come back up. Jeff for the record you were right. I ended up discarding that Mackeral. It would make your toe nails curl.

I ended up getting the gray foodsaver sportsman model 3 years ago I guess. Works great for all the fish and deer I can kill and catch. I ate some jerky from 2012 the other day that tasted like I made it yesterday.
