Need Grill Advice

Postby Beaudog1 » Fri Nov 05, 2010 5:47 pm

Looking for a new grill. Need something $500 or less. Needs to be very sturdy, I'm sick of wobbly grills that look nice but turn out to be crap. Doesn't need to have wheels. Prefer propane, but would consider charcoal. The more cooking surface, the better. Smoker attached, a cooking eye on the side, any of that would be a plus. I'd really appreciate some advice, guys. (No Big Green Eggs or Cajuns).

Thanks.

I bought a chargriller form Home Depot for like $250-$300. It has held up well, I bought the grill, side firebox and a cover for that price. I have been pleased with the grill, and the side firebox is good for slow smokin. It may be worth a try I think you would be pleased.
Damn, i thought I had that one

Is that buddy of yours tryin to blow that call or make love to it?

Cypress Grill from Bayou Classic in Brandon. Under $500. Smokes incredibly, Cooks hotter than hell and is far better than anything you could buy except a green egg(better quality) but they are twice as much. Hail call duckaholic he will hook you up.

Ducane Grill's are gas have the 1 eye for heating, and they are Stainless with wheels. I own one and like it a lot.

i have this one and love it. I removed the back wheels and made a spacer to go on them.

I bought the Chargriller Pro Duo from Academy for 199. One side is gas, one side is charcoal. Can also add the smoker box to the side if desired. Pretty neat set up.

Holland grills. Had same one for almost five years uncovered on back porch and the thing still looks and cooks better than any grill I've used before.
