New orleans duck hunt

Postby JDgator » Thu Nov 19, 2009 2:25 pm

I had an academic conference in New Orleans.
No longer interested in the pleasures of Bourbon Street, I used my spending money to book a duck hunt with an old buddy who was also attending. We sure had a blast.

The marsh.

hunting rights leased from the oil company which owns the property. They make more leasing duck hunting rights than they would drilling for oil.

Excited to hunt!

Mike Smith took us.

We had to drive there in a rented lime green vw beetle, which sucked. The dude who collects launch fees was admiring our wheels and making cajun jokes we couldn't understand. He has an outhouse for using the bathroom.
