This is my first post on MS Ducks. Figured I'd come over here and see if there's anything more on ducks than at the MSDWFP site. BTW, is CootCommander as famous over here as he is over there?

I hunted north central MS this mornin. Everything was frozen solid, broke 3/4" ice on the way in. Didn't see a single duck.

oh and no luck, just about to slip out de house when de wifey starts whinin bout dem frozen pipes nuthin like crawlin under de house in de dark wit a headlight and a propane torch when its 15 degrees outside. alls ya can do is laugh abouts it! i could see dem ducks fallin dat hole from da back pawch but i's sittin der drankin coffee. i'm whippin dat boys booty tonight fer turnin off da drip in da tub

Did not hunt, but looked around to see what stayed thawed and where the ducks were for in the morning. Did not see but one field that had any ducks. Saw a large number of ducks in one brake that has a high north bank and some fairly deep water. Few ducks in a couple of other brakes that had just a tad of open water. Very very few ducks in the air, guess they thought if they were in water then there was no need in flying anywhere else. Northeast Delta area.

Went this morn didnt see but maybe 4 or 5 wood ducks. But heard other folks knocking them down.

Hunted near cowart/tippo. Broke some serious ice going in. Probably 3/4 to 1 inch ice. Had a nice group try to come in at daylight. Had a few more ducks work. Probably didn't see 50 ducks total all morning. Very disappointing. Not going in the morning, didn't see enough to convince me to fool with the ice again. Maybe others had better luck.

Pretty slow where I was. Open water. Lots of ducks a few days ago. Didn't see many this morning except woodrows and ring necks. 2 groups of 10-12 pintails, couple Mallards. West of Flora area.

8 guns, 52 birds. 4 of whitch were geese. They kept it open last night and trickled in all day. Hope to do the same tomorrow.
