Recieved the worst news today

I don't post alot on here but I do take time to read what everyone has to say and I always counted my lucky stars that my family has pretty much been healthy and happy with no real problems; so to speak... I frequently see other families going through many different hardships and have offered heartfelt prayers for thier difficulties. Well, It finally came to our home today... My dad has been feeling bad lately and has lost alot of weight for the past 4 months. Somehow in the back of my mind something just didn't seem right with his health. Well he went earlier this week and had some bloodwork done with no abnormalities noted. He went yesterday to get scanned and got the results today... The doctor says he has lung cancer. A mass about the size of a baseball in the upper righthand lobe of the right lung. So far the family is taking it fairly well. I'm not sure how... Maybe it's still the shock of all of it. Who knows at this point. He will be going to a specialist on monday to start disscussing treatment options and I believe they want to schedule for a biopsy to determine what kind of cancer he has.
Man, this is hard for me to type and swallow... My dad always has been a strong man. He served in the Airforce during Vietnam and was also a Game warden down here on the coast for 28 yrs and now is retired. He's been shot before and basically been through h*ll most of his life and bounced back like a champ each and every time. Now, for the first time ever, I hear fear in his words and see it in his eye's. I think that's the hardest thing for me to take... Please say a prayer for him to have faith and physical strength to endure all of what is getting ready to start. I know in my heart my family will be fine. It's him that I'm worried about...

Sorry to hear that man prayers sent your way, and keep him busy so he doesnt sit and dwell on it, trust me my grandfather did this and it doesnt make it any easier
