World Crisis: Sippee Cup Standoff

Postby Wingman » Tue Mar 25, 2003 10:32 pm

The stuff that CNN is afraid to show you. The news Fox can't get their hands on....that's right.

Today, 7:00 PM CST, location-Isola

The family supper table.

All is well with the order-out meal until Lilly asks Mom for some dewce (juice for those of you who aren't bi-lingual)

Mom gets up to pour Hawaiian Punch into sippe cup, puts top on sippee cup and hands package to Lilly.

Lilly instantly goes ballistic, claiming that said top does not go with said cup, and pleads that said top goes to another cup.

Mom tries to reason, to no avail.

Lilly proceeds to throw a fit, snot running down her face, tears falling into french fries. Lilly proceeds to take top off of sippee cup, while bottle is partially inverted.

Rob intercedes. Who cares?

Mom, after unsuccessful attempts to negotiate peace talks with Senora Sippee, exhiles Lilly to horrible prison chamber (room full of toys)

After intense 4 minute standoff, Mom frees Lilly from prison and the world spins merrily about it's way, once more.

THE END.

P.S. Lilly bribes herself into totally new bottle package, forgetting the first sippee cup ever exists.

SHEW!

I feel ya pain!!--Made it through the sippee cup years. Have 2 blonde headed blue eyed girls, 6 and 7 going on 13 and 14--so they think. I'm afraid that the sippee cup years are not the ones that are going to give the most grief. Lock em up til they are 25! 8)

All I got to say is welcome to parenthood Wingman. You/I have got a lot to learn still. Sounds as though as your new step daughter and my 4 year old girl would get along fine. Does she have to have the seem of her socks perfectly placed over her toes before putting on shoes? Mine does. Sippy cup must match. Shoes must match clothing. No dirt on her hands or unless we are in the boat or playing with the dog, these are the only two exceptions I have found. Warning do not give them any Code Red Mt Dew it like the tazmanian devil has been turned loose.
Hopes all well in Belzoni and good luck, you going to need it. Got any grey hairs yet?

Hey there Markham. Only steps around here are the ones coming up on the front porch ;)

Yeah, the velcro latches on her tennis shoes have to be perfectly aligned, socks and underwear perfectly straight. Seat belt buckles have to be turned with red button to the outside...it goes on and on and on. Two bottles of exactly the same kind of bubble bath....when you use one bottle, it is always the other identical bottle that was supposed to be used. If you get bread out of the loaf sack and put it on her plate, she doesn't like it because "it's not my bread" and wants to get it herself.

She's red headed. Are they particularly picky? I can't remember if I was or not at that age!

Hey, but it sure is fun! And no, you goobers, I won't give her Mt. Dew, aka rocket fuel. But nice try!
