I use a a Mimosa limb, trotline string, and bamboo with a whittled end. Never heard of the brand you speak of.

Re: Elite Archery
Read a few post about them on archerytalk and wanted to see if any of ya'll have owned them. Been watching their classified sections and happened to come across a decent deal.
Yep, there are several good compainies i need to look at. I've shot the new Limbsaver (deadzone), Hoyt (katera), and the Ross (cardiac) so far. As of know, the ross is the sweatest thing I've picked up. Still got a few to shoot, and hopefully i'll find one i want to spend my money on.

Re: Elite Archery
They have only been around a couple of years. Have a friend that has one and likes it, it is very fast. I think one of the bowtech guys started up elite but I am not sure.

Re: Elite Archery
everything Gordon said is right.....
I've always been high on bowtechs, but lately, they have had problems with limbs breaking/cracking, could have just been a bad batch, just check into it before you drop that kind of money into one. A Diamond (yes, bowtech) black ice is a very good bow that will save you some money. Bottom line, all of the top companies (bowtech, hoyt, mathews, archery research, etc.) will kill a deer, go shoot them all, don't take others opinions on it, shoot them all yourself and get the one you're most comfortable with. Narrow it down ahead of time, ie. do you want speed, quietness, smoothness, forgiveness, etc. They're all comparable, nothing wrong with any of them. Just shoot them all, get the one you're the most comfortable shooting. If one saying mathews, bowtech, whatever on it makes you more comfortable, go with it. I have a friend still shooting a 20 year old fred bear that kills 3-5 deer per year with it. Another that shoots an old jennings carbon extreme, same deal.

Re: Elite Archery
The limb problem with bowtech is long gone. It was a bad batch and they have fixed the problem. We have sold the fire out of them at The Outfitter this year since picking up the line. They are FINE bows. I have shoot Hoyt for years and I will tell you NOTHING Hoyt has out even comes close to the new Bowtechs.... Great bows.. The General is very forgiving with 8 inchs of brace height! Probably the most shock free , quietest bows I have ever shot! I love my General.
